It’s that time of year again to begin planning for the 2018 ERG Conference in Dallas, TX!!!
The Conference will be held on September 14 and 15, 2018 at the Sheraton Hotel in Downtown Dallas!!!
The NETwork ERG Planning Committee needs YOU to step up and assist as we begin planning of another great year for members to have some fun as well as participate in networking and engaging opportunities. We have opportunities to serve in the following areas:
Town Hall Event
Day of Service Event
Saturday Night Event

In February during the 2018 Black History Month, the Heritage Team will continue working on capturing your I AM videos. We will feature you, our members, in 30 second videos that pay homage to the good folks from The NETwork or our predecessor organizations that inspired you to join and be active.
Your videos will be played on our website and social media sites.
Black History Month 2018 I AM Project Script example:
-My name is DeWanda Ricks.
-I am a member of The NETwork.
-The person who most inspired me within our organization is (insert the name of the person who inspired you)
-The reason (insert name of person who inspired you) inspired me is ________ (explain in one sentence)
-(Insert name of person who inspired you) is the reason I AM The NETwork.
Remember, we are looking for 30 second videos and reserve the right to edit as necessary.
We have also designed a special edition Black History Month shirt for 2018. It is available for purchase now. Let’s all wear these custom shirts proudly on February 28 as we close out the month and celebrate 28 Days of I AM.
The “I AM Project” is a national program that engages members, chapters and eSTEAM students in a way that highlights the broad spectrum of who we are and the contributions we make to communities we live in as well as the company we serve.
How to participate:
Each chapter/individual will provide a video 30 seconds or less in length describing themselves: Who they are; where they were born, education level, organizational role, company title, family lives, etc….The format will be similar to the sample below:
I am the child of Barbara and Walt
I am living in California
I am a wife and mother of two
I am a grandmother of four
I am a university graduate with a degree in marketing
I am a 38-year employee of AT&T
I am an area manager in regulatory & external affairs
I am Sandra Brown
AND I am The NETwork
Videos must be shot with members in appropriate surrounding and professional attire.
Each submission will begin with “I am… or We are…” and conclude with the phrase: “I am or We are, The NETwork”.
Each participant must sign and submit a media release form.
Submitter should include a photo and their signed media release form with video.
Videos should be no longer than 30 seconds in length. Videos are subject to modification.
Videos must be received by Monday, January 22, 2018.

AT&T has been offered a wonderful opportunity, and we’d like to share it with you and enlist your assistance in hosting a Watch Party.
Open Road Films, Tang Media and the makers of MARSHALL have offered a one-time pre-release screening of this new feature film about the early life of Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall to AT&T employees and any invited guests. Please see the film trailer. Justice Marshall’s thoughts and message transcend time and location.
We’d like your help to arrange “watch parties” to view this film in various AT&T locations across the country on Wednesday, October 11, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Eastern time. (The movie is 1 hour, and 58 minute in length). Collaboration here will benefit everyone.
What’s in it for you? Of course, there’s the opportunity to view a new film and learn about a great and influential man. Also, while the studio is not charging us for this event, they’ve agreed our watch parties can be used as fundraisers, as long as 100% of the funds go to a charitable cause such as hurricane/earthquake relief or a scholarship fund.
We’re hoping for collaborations in setting up these parties and advertising the event locally.
Responsibilities for setting this up would include:
Arranging for a multi-purpose room or auditorium location which has a large viewing screen and quality audio output
Ensuring the availability of expertise to appropriately manage the A/V feed from Dallas or another centralized location
Identifying any needs for sign interpreters and arranging for them if needed (costs will be paid by Corporate D&I)
