Victor has been an instrumental member of The NETwork DFW chapter for a few years and continues to increase his commitment to the vision every year. He has been the lead on several initiatives that impact the community including Quarantine Vibes that allowed us to raise $1,100 for Minnie’s Food Pantry and NETwork Vibes that merges external and internal guest speakers for a richer networking experience. He has the work ethic to see things through from beginning to end, the connections that positions DFW to expand our footprint and the personality that draws people to be more engaged in the chapter.
From leading efforts to continue community service with Minnie’s Food Pantry to helping with DFW’s “Get to the Polls”, he has established himself as the person you must have on the team. Victor has been front and center with our virtual eSTEAM “Family Night” helping to pull together care packages for Seeds to STEM to teach Family Gateway (homeless shelter) how to make hand sanitizer, lotion, and hair products. His love from the youth naturally led him to be one of the co-leads in The NETwork DFW’s Juneteenth Scholarship and Community celebration where we award $3,000 in scholarships to two students in South Dallas.
The NETwork DFW hosted its 3rd Celebration of the Arts, a scholarship fundraiser that highlight minority artists in DFW, on March 25th. Victor was co-chair of Sponsorships/Donations as well as one of the hosts of the events. With limited attendance, The NETwork DFW was still able to raise $5,000 due to partnerships and sponsors helping to close the gap. Victor was one of the keys to help ensure that this event continued the legacy and success it has over the past three years.
The DFW chapter is honored to have the talent and commitment from Mr. Victor Lankford. He truly is a backbone to the Program Planning and Development team and is leadership ready.
